EMS invests in Komax Kappa 310

Thatcham, UK – EMS announced today the commission of a Komax Kappa 310 automatic stripping machine from Tyco Electronics UK. 

Capable of processing:

• Lengths of 1mm to 999,999mm.
• Cross sectional area (CSA) from 0.2mm2 to 6.0mm2 (AWG34-10).
• Outside diameter up to 10mm.
• A variety of wire & cable, including – single core, multi core, multi strand & coaxial.

“The Komax Kappa 310 greatly enhances our wire processing capability providing exceptional quality, precision and very quick setup time providing ultimate manufacturing flexibility,” said Jonathan Plummer, Technical Manager of EMS.  “The Komax Kappa 310 incorporates a range of sensors and measurement devices to ensure product quality these include a laser sensor to measure the wire diameter and an induction sensor to avoid damage to wire cores.”
